Best 100ish HP tractor from the 90s era

John Deere 6400 is a 4 pot and he wants a 6 pot tractor.

I kid you not.  Have just come back from watching Exeter Chiefs beat Sarries with him, and was talking to him about this topic. His 6400 currently has 50 400 hours on the clock. Used daily, and still earning its crust.

Not sure at the moment, I have a loader with current tractor but I have it removed 90% of the time. I much prefer a tractor without a loader if I can get away with it- but appreciate they can be mighty  handy too. Like I say the majority of it’s work is trailer towing and post knocking.

That really is amazing- I have never heard of any tractor clocking up hours like that. Just shows it can be done though with good maintenance and a thoughtful operator.

Can not see the point of fencing with out a loader on tractor everything gets moved quicker.

Why I asked was if you were going to fit loader best to see availability of loaders for the tractors you are looking at.

I known what you mean with handling duties, but the way I do it all the handling is done in the yard and then the materials get fed out along the line straight from a trailer- I do all pre grading and pulling out with a digger so rarely find myself using a loader as much as I initially thought.

Every time I take the loader off mine I fall back in love with the tractor- nicer on the road and one less thing to think about manoeuvring around awkward sites.
