What do you use to mark the cover on the Sirius Jake?

I need a proper workbench. I keep getting my ear chewed off for leaving frays of rope and bits of welding wire on the carpet.

Well played Joe. Can't believe you managed to keep Mark quiet! Either that or he's plotting his comeback.

I used a red pen and marked the green flecks for the first few marks. For the taper I pulled the strands as I counted. Was quite difficult to be honest but I made sure I just doubl3 checked my marks before doing anything. Was chuffed with the result. Used a soft fid from premium ropes to bury the core which worked amazing. Only cost £15 I reckon. Can send you the link if you wanna check it out?

I spotted the soft fid whilst I was Facebook stalking Tommy. Definitely worth a punt over my homemade fids that perforate my hands.

You pulled the strands from the mark moving towards the end? Sounds like hard work!

Gotta get back into it soon. My first step would have to be organising myself a work space. Kneeling in front of the coffee table gets painful after a while. (There you go Mark, nice easy one for you).
