Neck tether

i got a used DMM chest harness off ebay, was using a Stihl shoulder strap for combi as neck tether.

With either neck or chest would be good to have something less fiddly to attach or remove. 2 magnets or something

so someone came up with a tether using two magnets, looking at the review it's been out before my post on the idea, so I haven't had a new idea :c

The magnets are in the wrong place to satisfy the H&S freaks.

So you can now get smashed in the eye with a metal magnet pinging off the elastic .. I think you have as much chance of hanging off your t shirt collar than a neck tether from using one constantly for 3 years now..

And you have at least as much chance of getting hung up whilst descending and a branch goes up the back of you helmet. Buckle won’t open due to the pressure and you can’t ascend because you’re in a tight spot.
Let’s face it, every aspect of everything we do creates some risk and presents a hazard [emoji849][emoji12]

One thing I think the Chester has in its advantage, is you can clip in the haas higher and get more progress than off the hitch climber .. not that it is an issue for me any way as it seems you can still get a decent stride off the hitch climber.

Do you find that clipping the HAAS to the ring on your Chester means that the elastic is coming out of the tube at an awkward angle - potentially accelerating wear at the end of the tube?

How do you get on with a neck elastic and the HAAS? I found that one worked against the other and my system sort of bungee'd up and down!

Clip the haas in to the hitch climber and not found that problem , has in the bottom , hitch middle and the tether top.
