Eve Folks,

Can anyone recommend a good chain for cutting firewood? faster the better maybe full chisel? also where i can order them online please.

many thanks

Full chisel is my weapon of choice although any chain properly sharpened will do the job . Try Rob D on here ( chainsawbars )  . He sells all things to do with the business end of the saw .

I've had no problems with husqvarna or oregon but have switched to rotatech since their similar performance but much cheaper.

Fastest chains I've used are stihl but they're very expensive and just as likely to hit a stone and blunt so I don't use them often.

As a side note the Rev boost on newer husqvarna saws like the 560 is great when doing lots of cuts.

Run the new type narrow kerf 93txl is it? On our 550xp’s. Absolutely flies.

Running Oregon 73 full and semi chisels on our processor and find very little difference in speeds of cut.
