I’d assume that a Manufacturer at some point probably put that in as a disclaimer being unsure about the full range of mains powered chainsaws, it’s not all about how many m/s your chains doing, if it’s got nothing to clog up it’s got nothing to clog up, also remember that electric motors generate peak torque almost immediately, that works both ways, so unlike in a Petrol saw where as it clogs the engine speed slows and therefore the torque slows if your locked down on the trigger your kegs are gonna have a lot more work to do..

Even with a big 90cc+ saw?
I've seen the video comparing composite vs steel toe cap.
Scary.

Especially with a big 90cc saw  !.   Watched a vid with a pair of strides strapped to a saw horse . Quite a difference .  Would not have cut your leg right off but you would have bleed to death without instant surgery .

When chainsaw trousers are tested, the power is cut then the saw swings at the material.
So whatever the saws's power source is, the throttle is released.
Just the kinetic energy of the chain to stop.
What worries me though, is what would happen if the throttle was still on full and you hit your trousers/boots...
I've been told they just cut straight through.
Anyone got any videos of this?

Ive personally put a 361 through a pair of trousers with a log inside and it just kept going, i think over a certain bar size there isnt enough ballistics in the trousers to clog it up. never tested a baby but after what i saw with the 361 im not in a hurry to test it.
