Quick update to the questions, I paid £155 including delivery and a 18 inch bar and chain. Bit more now as that was a black Friday deal. Regarding the case I've no equipment like that to hand so first side I tapped the crankshaft in with a socket so as not to damage the thread, to join them just pressed by hand until close enough the bolts could grip and just did them up a bit each gong around to get it straight. Few hiccups so far but fairly straightforward, forgot.the implies line so had take the handle off again. Currently can't see how the fuel line fits the carb so just fitted the exhaust with the plan of top handle next to can get the chain break attached and functioning

Don't want to piss on the fireworks but you did de-stress the bearings after assembling the crank didn't you???

If you didn't, belt each end of the crank with a copper mallet 3-5 times to take the stress out of the mains. If you don't. it is very possible to cock the main bearings very quickly!

Thanks, done loads of research never heard of that one, will pop the flywheel and clutch off and do that before starting it
