I'd be interested to know if anyone has regretted how they voted in the EU referendum?

Before the referendum we were told a lot of scare stories (imho mostly from Bremain) that generally haven't come true. I think we can all agree that life has remained fairly normal since the referendum. Does anyone that voted Bremain now think they would have voted Brexit? Or vice versa?

IMHO, people make decisions from either their heart or head. I think Bremainers used their heart to decide how to vote ie they like the idea of a "brotherhood of nations working for one purpose", while Brexiters used their head and coldly looked at the arguments and decided Brexit meant a better quality of life for them and their family.

I think the problem Bremainers have is that there are few rational arguments for staying in the EU. All the good things from the EU (ie workers rights, environmental legislation, free trade) could be achieved by an independent UK.

We haven’t left the EU yet.

Well observed!

However we were continually told a Brexit vote would lead to immediate financial Armageddon. George Osborne told us a Brexit vote would mean an emergency budget. Did the emergency budget happen? No it didn't because it was all part of Project Fear.

Anyone else invest in the stockmarket? It's good to see it soooooo high :) It's amazing the FTSE100 is at new high when we voted for Brexit. It's as if Project Fear was all a pack of lies....

We're paying the EU £40billion to £50billion for the privilege of having trade talks...

It's a lot of money to shell out when we don't really get a lot in return..

Yes and I expect this figure to be added to by rolling contributions of many more billions, if they, the EU let us carry on as is in regards our trading positions into the future..

which can only happen if we shadow their laws and regulations, so Liam Fox has been wasting his time flitting from country to country like a numpty, cause we'll be having no new trade deals at all...

Theres the small matter of the Irish Border as well..  can't wait to see how this pans out without us shadowing the EU on everything..

Trouble is, the brexiteers hadn't a clue what they were getting into to, but now the chickens are coming home to roost..

Thats why, (although spoken in jest at times) the brexiteers are a bunch of numpties, not a clue, no idea and empty headed to boot... loons.

No we are saying we will pay £40billion dependant on the outcome of the talks.

We we aren’t agreeing to pay that to/then talk.

Its a a way to move talks on to the meaty stuff get a deal in principle then we can look at it as a whole if it’s value pay up sign it off and crack on if it’s not value don’t pay up and drop to wto rules.

What does Canada/ China/ America/ Japan etc have to pay the EU for the privilege of selling goods in the EU? A big fat nothing.

We're a nation of lions led by a group of chimps.

More like a nation of numpties led by?, well we'll see about that in the coming months.. protect the nation from itself or cave to dogma and let us sink..   Just like the Irish border they're gonna be damned if they do, damned if they don't..

Have our MP's the stomach to sacrifice their careers for the future of Great Britain PLC, or are they coward like, and follow the herd over the cliff..

That is the question...   what are they made of.... we'll see.

Walk away, trade on WTO terms.
When the (petty, unreasonable and small minded) EU realise it’s in their interests to play ball they know where we live.....
Simple

I don't know if you've noticed, but, its us who need them more than they need us...  they carry the bigger stick..
