Regardless of its plate weight if you have the hicap 3.5 ton springs then it should carry it. The 3050 and 3500 are essentially no different. The springs are uprated and the chassis slightly thicker on the 3.5 but it's the springs that carry the load.

It's a Defender, it will just drive like crap when it's well loaded, I have never owned one yet that didn't.

However, we have terrafirma 2" lift heavy duty rears, with the assisters fitted (I seem to remember we had to machine the assister spring seats down to get them to fit inside the terrafirma's), Boge shocks and 265/75/16 BFG AT's, front is set up as standard for the 3500kg version, it's a bloody uncomfortable ride when empty but don't drive too bad when loaded, we still get sway if we are loaded with high pallets though.

These are what I had put on my 110 tipper when I did tree work. I kept the helper springs on also. It was abit rough driving empty but as soon as chipper or a few tools on back it behaved nicely. Only moved a maximum an inch even when fully loaded.
