Workers worthy of a mention

It’s rare to find really exceptional workers these days.  Thought it would be a good idea to post your stories here as inspiration to those that need a boot in the right direction.

This is Jose, he’s looked like death warmed up the past 2 days and was throwing up at 1am last night, despite that he has come to work regardless, many wouldn’t.

Today I’m deadwooding some reasonable size ash trees, not a massive amount for the ground crew to do.  But then I look down wondering what Jose is up to...rather than stand doing nothing he has taken it on himself to empty out and clean my climbing kit bag :thumbup1:

And anudder one who is worthy of a mention is David Dobedoe,  who as it happens is an Arbtalk member.  Had him on a big job during the summer for 5 days.  The guy ain't been in the game that long but has a work ethic and doesn't like standing still.   I had to leave site several times during the week and was impressed to return to site to find him spiking up a tree or ringing up big stems and generally keeping busy.

It's great not having to ask someone to do something or having to ask them 'to at least try and look busy'.

Barry Pollard worked with me at Barrowcliff Ltd, blinding climber and strong work ethic. Honest and reliable too! Worked for Treewise and got them into power line stuff but got stiffed by Martin Stanley I heard. Then top man at ENS(?). Then went on to be a linesman and gave up tree work. I got to say, it was a pleasure to work with him.

Rob Wells (Riggerbear on here). Ace climber and gets stuck in dragging, ringing up and with the rake when he comes down from the tree. If he stays overnight he’ll knock up splices or service the chipper in the evening.
A real gem.
Also Richie R on here, a real grafter and great guy to work with.
