Got them in most of the works vehicles, of which are also linked to tracking devices.

One of the vehicles was involved in an accident Monday and it proved beyond doubt that the other driver was at fault (despite what she said:001_rolleyes:) I think that that camera was only about £35.00 and the sound/picture quality is really good.

I'll follow this thread closely because I now want to put one in my vehicle - cos everyone seems to be determined to kill me this week.

Re-write over itself in 3 minute sections on a decent one. A bump or severe breaking sends that file to the “protected” folder so it’s not overwritten. Or a simple push button sends that section to protected folder.

I’ve got next base 512g - you can see it in action in the thread Stubby mentioned. I’ve had it ages, it’s just plug and go. I didn’t even know how to use it til the other day when I needed it.

Plugged it into the Mac and called the files up. Trimmed the bits I needed, uploaded to YouTube.

Quite straight forward really. Worth every penny and ordering 2 more now - even thinking about doubling up with rear view cams as well!

I spent ages scanning reviews and tech sites because the choice is bewildering. In the end, I looked at what was selling in volume and took a punt.

Next base is well established in the sector.

I got a cheap one from ebay just to see what they were like and if I would use it, I did use it and it was total crap.

Upgraded it to the Nextbase 212, one for the front and one rear facing, the quality is just as good as the one above but only has basic functions on the display ie. time and date. 32 gb  micro sd card gives 4 hours recording.
