I’m thinking about buying a new chainsaw, at the moment I have a STIHL MS362, but she’s getting a bit tired now, so any advice?

What's tired about it does it need new rings, new clutch or new bar and chain ? Or are you just ready for a change ?

Complete  and utter bollox .. ...Will that do ? [emoji4]

It's a start, I think some name calling would be appreciated.

I run both.
I have noticed that people who don't like Huskys are usually shite at reading simple set-up instructions, use the manual to light a fire with and are generally piss-poor at anything resembling a maintenance regime.

Or maybe they're just unlucky a lot.

Good effort, definitely deserves a comeback.

When you are more used to maintenance/ working on one brand working on others seems like a pita.

I do more work on and own more stihls so huskys always seem like irritating fiddly little basyards.

But I run both and always enjoy the way huskys perform.

Tbh I reckon most brands are pretty good if they're in fine fettle. With the odd duff model thrown In to keep you on yer toes

I find people who run husky's generally have to do maintenance before, during and after they use them, then when they get home they put them on eBay along with the other two hundred husky's up for sale on there because their owners came to the same conclusion, which is husqy's and actual tree work are as about connected as a politician is with being honest.

Jeez.....i kind of know what you mean....but I bought a 357 about 10 years ago off a tree surgeon who hammered it.

It's still rocking

Which ones you seen people mincing about with?

If I'm completely honest none, but it's like getting a cross out at a vampire party, the guilty start smoking under the collar and hissing which makes for a bit of amusement.

But eBay really is full of husqy's, don't know what that says.

This industries full of simple fairies who can't run or maintain a saw?

A fine comeback Swordsta, but I'm afraid my lover and soon-to-be civil partner Joe has beaten me to my response.
Huskys are definitely trickier to work on, and I wouldn't rate them as a crew saw, but the ones I have work for me.
If they didn't I wouldn't have them.
For the record my favourite and most reliable saw is my Stihl MS660.

It just dies out under pressure, on small logs it’s ok, but with bigger ones it dies out, I been told it’s going to cost more than the chainsaw is worth to fix it, I would rather keep the chainsaw but there’s no point if it’s going to cost more than the chainsaw is worth
