Husky 266 or 365

Any preferences? Looking for something to run 18"+ bar and leave the 30" bar on the 395. Been offered a 266 as a trade for a small trailer but been thinking about buying a new 365 altogether for the last few weeks...

365 is a brilliant saw, a bit on the heavy side, will pull 18" easy. 560xp would be the dogs danglies for 18" if you can stretch to it. bear in mind that the bars husky saws come with are made of cheese. 266 is very good saw but unless you are lucky they have all been worked very hard.

365 all day , 266 is getting a bit long in the tooth these days , two part ignition is hard to find , they are a great saw though .

On the 365 , the special is a better saw than the early straight 365 .

Biggest bar a 560 will pull? Ive packed in arb work and gone back to construction so saw will only be used occasionly. Figure the 560 gives trouble if left sitting for too long....

my 560 is only used occasionally and hasnt given any trouble. a friend runs 24" on his and reckons it pulls it well. 365 maybe slightly faster in big timber (if at all), but for everything else a 560 would run rings around the 365, and 560 is much lighter

266xp was a great production saw, but getting old now,if you are using a saw to earn a living, go for 365 ,better anti vibes/warranty/parts availability/reliability

Cant seem to get em in ireland... whats the 3 series equivelant? e.g. 357 became 560.
