yes that will be fine, am using it in my 560 atm. i would like to know why people buy the £40/gallon 2 stroke though, as i am finding it exactly the same as running on the £13/gallon mineral oil, which has never given me any trouble.

Landcruiser 80 series or 105 series with the 24 valve 4.2 turbo engine, usually only the later 4.5 D4D that gives trouble. 79 series if it really needs to be a pickup, but they arent as nice to drive and maybe not quite as heavily built. Theyres a few 80 series converted to pickups round here, excellent vehicles and easy to do. Landcruisers are expensive for a reason, youd be wasting your time with anything else imo.

my 560 is only used occasionally and hasnt given any trouble. a friend runs 24" on his and reckons it pulls it well. 365 maybe slightly faster in big timber (if at all), but for everything else a 560 would run rings around the 365, and 560 is much lighter

Looking for recommendations for a petrol post auger. Seems to be a lot of new ones on ebay for £120 ish, anyone tried them? Other than that can only find stihl ones which look pretty expensive for what they are

365 is a brilliant saw, a bit on the heavy side, will pull 18" easy. 560xp would be the dogs danglies for 18" if you can stretch to it. bear in mind that the bars husky saws come with are made of cheese. 266 is very good saw but unless you are lucky they have all been worked very hard.

thanks for the replies anyone know why the two saws are so close in price but very different in spec? i'd like the 2510 ideally but the price difference makes it a bit pointless doesnt it?

which model echos are the best quality ones? anyone used any of the other makes?

Ive got into doing a bit of climbing lately (bit of a hobby), and my trusty husqvarna 41 has finally blown up, and i dont fancy swinging the 560 around up a tree. Hence i now need top handle saw, dont want to spend more than 300+ vat, not too fussed whether 30 or 40cc as each has its advantages. Narrowed it down to Makita, tanaka, efco, solo, echo. Which make and model of these top handles is the best saw in your experience? Cheers

Thanks for replies. the recoil rope worked a treat as i dont have a piston stop tool ive already got a carving bar with 3/8 chain and ive already bought the sprocket drum (just over £5) , its just a case of fitting it.

Hello, This might be a stupid question, but could someone please tell me how to change the drive sprocket on a Husqvarna 41. I have bought a 3/8 Lo pro one because i want to put my carving bar on it. Thanks.

Hi All, I am cutting down a 100% Ash hedge, roughly 6" to 24" and pretty straight so mostly good for log processor? I am keeping all the limbs for my own logs, but I am looking for ballpark figures on what I should be asking for the trunks/big limbs, preferably collected per cu m. Thanks in advance. -

i want quarter tip as dime tip needs 1/4 chain (i think). are sugi really that much better as its over £30 more

i am looking to do a bit of carving and i want a 12" quarter tip bar to run 3/8 lo profile. am i better buying an oregon sculptor or forking out extra for sugihara? also, i have been offered a little efco to use as it has a 3/8 sprocket, but i have husq 41, 61 281xp and 560xp and would like to gear up one of my own for carving, but the 61 is too heavy and i cant find 3/8 sprockets to fit the 41. what should i do? thanks in advance.

I am 16 and I have been offered some hedging work for grant on a per metre rate. As I would be working self employed, do I legally need any nptc certificates to use chainsaws or not?
