Ok so all arisings from treework are waste and therefore require Waste carriers licence to transport away from site. Finally the penny has dropped in my tiny little mind. Sooooo, honestly how many of you out there have all the paperwork 100% in order to carry out your daily trade? And I mean 100% in order, not 99.9% every last nitty gritty bit of paper, and adhere to the rules of all paperwork too. I doubt there are many who can hand on heart say they do.

Personally, i cant think of a rule that i havent broken from time to time.

My favorite is the take down of hung up trees technique.

1. Get underneath it for a really good look at the problem.

2. Climb up it a bit and see if you cant shake it out

3. Cut some pieces off the butt.

4. When all else fails, fell the tree its hung up in.

Textbook NPTC stuff.

Sometime you can try 3a. fell another tree on the leaner, see if you can knock it out - although if it fails, this can cause slight problems with no 4.
