get yourself the correct training its a legal requirement if you are working on somebody else s property I lost a good friend to a wind blown conifer not a good place to start. there are some good vids on you tube there are also some really bad ones as a complete novice you have no way of working out whats good and bad. go for the training its well worth the money

Sold...Lost £15 on the deal. Better to lose money than a limb. Cheers guys for showing me the error of my ways. Now to find something more sensible.

Cheers Man. I do worry about the guy i just sold it to. He's never used a chainsaw but has a Fir tree to fell for a woman, so he'll make his money back on the chainsaw...Best of luck my friend, best of luck. :afraid:

I'm fairly sure you don't need to do the "proper" training by law. I don't think insurance companies would be happy though!

Could be completely wrong though
