I'm 4 tank fills into my new Woodstar top handle which was on offer for 69euros in Brico-Merde which is part of the B&Q group.

First I thought it horrible, too gutless to be of any use.

However it soon ran in and it certainly is as pokey as the wee 150.

It starts easily and is light weight and comfortable to use but the choke lever has got caught and pulled up a fee times whilst scrambling around the canopy.

Looks to be a close copy of a Tanaka saw which in turn resemble Echo.

Bought it to use as a chipper saw but mostly just out of plain curiousity.

I've kept the receipt and I've 2 years warranty on it so I'm not worried if fails under guarantee.

Mate of mine bought one of the Chinese top handled saws badged as "MJ tools" lasted around 4hrs at a guess before being thrown from the mewp, in that time the handle fell off, ran with various character building quirks and generally pissed him off for a morning ..

First time I started mine it ran flat out and the trigger did nothing but it was only the linkage trapped. It still cuts out every now and then dropping back to tickover but it always fires up again easily enough.

Tool station are selling a Hawksmoor top handled saw for £89. It's almost too good to be true and it feels similiar to an MS 200.

Also oddly you don't need a climbing certificate to buy it apparently which just sounds very irresponsible. Unless the rules/legality have changed recently.

I've only picked up the saw and the balance feels ike a saw  worth alot more. It has very good 5 star revews.
