Wild flower ident.

So, I see this flower ever spring/early summer, and it bothers me I don't know what it is.

 

Comes in three colours, pink, more red and white (just visible in the background)

 

I live in SW France but similar climate to southern England. Grows anywhere, here out of a wall, but just as happy in the ground next to a wall, seems to favour a dry environment.

 

Fleshy stems and leaves if you know what I mean.

Great looking plant.

Great for pollinating insects and is famed for growing in crevices in walls and such niches.

That's red valerian - Centranthus ruber not valerian - Valeriana officialanis. Both commonly called valerian just to be confusing

Or Valeriana officinalis Known as kiss me quick. The white one has albus tagged on the end.

Not confusing at all!

In fact it makes things clearer; different things have different names.
