Yup, the end gap on these autotune engines is pretty critical plus the air filters need to be kept clean - if you get fine dust being pulled through over a long period, it will wear the piston.

Just had a 65hr 560XP in and the piston was that worn it would only pull 110psi! The air filter was dirty and had split in two places so there you go - a bit more maintenance needed!

Stuck or worn piston ring. Doesn't need to have many hours depending on the cylinder fitted.

A good chance it is this if its an older model. Had the same issue with a II series the other week, was just a dirty air filter, crap in the tank and a loose plug. Pity the customer didnt want to pay and caused a right fuss. I suppose when you buy a new machine all servicing and general maintenance should be done under warranty:sneaky2:

Could also be a faulty tank vent forcing fuel back into the engine(air filter housing) from the tank, had that before.

Take the spark plug out and move the piston down to tdc.

This will help in the third step.

Get a saucepan in a electric frying pan and set up a double boiler.place some HE in the saucepan and cover with the lid.

When the HE has become liquid poor it into the cylinder.Filling all the way up to the threads on the spark plug socket.

When the HE has solidified, push a Detonator into the HE.Place in a Hole .

Run your wires back and connect to a battery of 6 volts or more.

Then buy a ms201 tc
