My lockjack came out of all my customers pockets not mine :001_smile:

I wish I had customers with lockjacks in their pockets....

Rowden - Yeah, its really expensive, but its just personal preference - I reckon climbing on a lockjack makes me £150 happier, if not £150 faster. Oh, and I paid more like £200 for mine

I dont like putting my cinch in like that because you are loading the oval caribiner with some twist. A swivel on the bridge would eliminate the torsion.

yeah i know what you mean phenom. I find the swivel twists my rope horrendously though so only use it sparingly. also i think theres some torsion twist when loading from the side d's anyway when your lanyard is going straight across like that but its def something to be aware of.:001_smile:

I want a unicender thats $450, seems reasonable to me if it makes my life easier and more enjoyable, one day i may go to the dark side and try an art jack personally i've never had a love for them i just don't think they are all that, good tool well priced just not me.

am i the only person here who thinks that £150 for the lockjack is totally insane?? Does it really speed up your work that much to the extent that it can be justified? we could all do the work with a blakes or a prussik, let alone a vt/ hitch climber. Before anyone says anything, i have tried all of the systems mentioned in this thread and i still think that the lock jack/spider jack are a waste of money and that the vt system can be tricky if tied wrongly, although can be handy in certain applications. Ultimately for total consistency, simplicity and cost effectiveness, get a prussik or a blakes.

After 11 years on a prussik and 4 on a vt I would honestly rather give up climbing than go back to a prussik....personally i think they are the biggest waste off time and effort...I would rather use a lock jack!

prusik??? - i know lets get some 3 strand manila as well and spend the day twirling around in the air with sore hands! only kidding different things for different people, anything thats going to make my life easier is worth anyamount of money in my opinion especially if you are climbing trees allday everyday! - bought my hitchclimber today along with a pantin foot ascender - dropped my hitchclimbr in the mud..... so does anyone use the spider jack? and yes Mike you are right i'm not going to be happy until i have bought a lock or spider and some tachyon, and maybe a unimog.....
