If you dont want a telescopic pole then please ignore the following trivia.

 

I've had an echo telescopic pole for years now and it's indestructible.

The down side is that the indestructibility means it is heavier. It does work with a hedge trimmer head OK (Stihl dealers used to recommend NOT using a hedge cutter with theirs).

 

The drive has a clutch at the engine end (as do most others) but there is also a short sacrificial plastic section near the top (cost about £2.00 to replace) which is designed to go ping before anything expensive lets go. Tha machine has never let me down and its had a load of use over the years.

 

Only other down side is the enclosed D shaper trigger handle takes a bit of getting used to.

 

Spares? No idea, I've never needed any. I did but a spare placcy drive bit when I bought it (its been waiting in the tool box ever since).
