  1. And oldie but still makes me laugh. Never get tired of hearing/reading this one.
  2. What's the difference between a hippo and a Zippo? Ones really heavy and the others a little lighter.
  3. Does anyone out there know of any places where I can register for free professional memberships for an arborist society? I'm not super keen on paying an annual fee but I would like some form of accreditation (aside from our Certs).
  4. I'm with harvey b davison and sloth - photos are definitely needed... however a video of you doing the cut would be far more satisfying... especially if it goes bad (which it won't).
  5. Hey, I've been silently stalking the site for a while now and only just signed up. A lot of good recommendations on equipment and I like seeing different arbor practices. There seems to be only limited information for the business end of things. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places? Any suggestions? Also, I find it hard to continue in conversations. Is there a place where I get notified of new activity? Cheers
  6. My guess was going to be visiting porn sites too. If in doubt: clear all temporary files, run comprehensive virus scan (in safe mode if you're really worried) and next time use incognito mode for your porn.
  7. My guys use the STIHL HT 75 and speak very highly of it. So far not much maintenance on it at all.
  8. What does a carpenter do after a one night stand? The second night stand. ...I'm so sorry.
  9. I set up a website for an arbor company where people pay $50 for 8 m3 of "arbor mulch" delivered to their driveway. Surprising the number of people who think they can use that much mulch. Even easier is to list free arbor mulch on Gumtree/Craigslist/etc and you'll get inundated with people wanting it because it's free...

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
