I charge for tpo/con applications now. If tere is the potential for further works, run them off a copy of your h & s policy, enviromental policy, generic risk and method statement and a copy of your insurance cert. That should do it. And a copy of the tpo app approval.

I can't believe anyone would do a job for £80. Maybe if you were working next door and it was a wee bonus. But a scheduled job, with council permission? Put your prices up, a lot, then you won't mind jumping through some H&S hoops.

Same as here.

80 squid wouldn't cover the TPO app!

Is this a village church or the Archbishop's official residence 🤔

Maybes worth the admin if there are 00s or 000s, but for 80 quid it's not even worth taking it on the chin in the expectation of future work.... You'll have set the precedent and they'll always be chasing the lowest price.

Thanks for a good variety of replies.

I sent a reply to the email saying I am no longer interested and disappointed that they effectively want reassurance that we will behave ourselves.

They sent a reply to that asking my permission to phone me and discuss it.

Why not. It is only a few minutes work. The scale of my business is such that a number of smaller jobs can be well worth doing in a 'bitty' day. Like some have said... the price will need to be adjusted to cover the costs. I consider what they have done to be a change in the specification.

If they disagree they can look for someone else.

I don't need to just do monster jobs as my overheads aint that high.

We will see what happpens.
