Ms 441 unfairly maligned ?

My old 440 was a fantastic saw, that got hammered and lived and died with great honour.

I've used Rich's 441, and more often Von Harringtons, and rate them very highly.

They seem to be strong, reliable saws.

Yes, they can feel a bit squishy compared to old school cool, but I like that, not being a massive HAVS fan anymore.

Comparing them to the much more nimble 560 is pointless.

I'm that rare breed of weirdo who likes both Stihl and Husqvarna (their good saws - they both offer shite models as well!).

I use a 461 on a 25" bar at work and it's great. I also have a 441 on a 20" bar and it's lovely. My go to chogging saw.

Its power delivery is spot on with the 20". Nicely balanced too. Got it barely used for £400, and the insides didn't look like they'd seen sawdust.

I wouldn't try it with a 25" bar though.

We had an early 441 and it was a good saw , if a bit squishy , sold it a bought a new one and had nothing but trouble with it .

Bought a 461 to replace it and it has been fantastic , one of the boys that works with me swears by 441's I guess I was just unlucky !
