Hi I have a fir tree out back of my new house I was looking for a price to take it down and remove it. I had a local guy round and price he gave was pretty steep. Could any give me a rough price??

Strung the local guy up he was looking for 900 +vat.

 

All joking aside.....

 

He's the only one (apart from yourself) that's actually seen it.

 

Mick punted at £480. A bit flippantly, I doubled that since it looks like 2 not 1. If it were 1, £480 might be fair & reasonable (from an armchair), doubling up probably isn't very scientific but, in reality, £480 x 1 ½ would't be unreasonable.

 

It's probably possible to get it done cheaper, but you know where that's going... :biggrin:

2 or 1 is much of a muchness, once you're there it doesn't make much difference. One 3.5 tonner of chip, one of logs, it's not technical, it's just logistics.
