New 4wd wheeled digger?

Reckon your probably best with tractor mate. Can do so much with them over other machines, these dedicated handles are no doubt handy as purely that, but become a bit of a one trick pony compared to a tractor. Plus not much in the second hand market and priced to suit.

I find by running a tractor they are a pretty low cost to keep on the road- no tax, mot etc, and can haul chip, logs etc so takes the strain of any 4x4s /transits etc.

This is my Same dorado 86, had it nearly 3 years now and has been brilliant, got loads of power and had 8ton behind it on the road which it handled fine. They are quite light as tractors go and require a big of weight on the back to be a goodnloader tractor- but lovely and quick on the road. I could drive a 30 mile round journey do a days postknocking with it and barely use 20liters of diesel!

Finding something suitable, clean and genuine is a lot to ask though lol

As a pure site machine value for money wise i dont think you could beat a loading shovel they are built so well in comparison to everything else will last forever and are so cheap it amazes me quater of the price of a loader tractor some of them

Allready have a 2wd loader tractor and ace for the logs etc but not enough puff for shoving into the wood chip. Gets really snotty up near woodchip pile! It may be better with some better rear boots on but not sure that will sort it?

Main thing for me would be 4wd and loader for use on site. Ideally 85-90hp.

Would it not be cheaper to create some hardstanding? or is this not an option?

It would maybe be possible, but yard is rented would have to see. Also it gets snotty due to other tractors going past chip pile and when its wet turns it into a kind of rice pudding / cream mix!

Thinking of a 4wd loader tractor as can save my back on site which is the main thing. Take away as much manual handling as possible

I dont give chip or logwood yard space any more but when I did I used an old JCB 3CX . Cheap and reliable if you can find one not beaten to death.

Love 3cx :D have you seen the prices they command now? Enthusiasts love them!

Great machines :thumbup1:
