Colour of the wood suggests laburnum but hard to see much else with the ivy and rubbish photo quality

 

It looks at least 450mm diameter no way laburnum

Thankyou for the replys first thing I fort was elm or walnut with the center being so dark I can have it for free just don't know if it's worth the 33 mile trip suppose I should find out the sizes of it.

I don't know wych elm it is lol. Ill be milling the main trunk in a couple of months so will pit some pics up the rest is for firewood (smaller stuff or ugly stuff).

I eventually milled the two elm logs last nite there amazing inside definitely worth the trip and hassle it's had to tell off a crapy pic from the owners back garden.  Sorry you carnt see the pics befor as there was uploaded with photobucket.
