I use both as and when needed.

 

I spliced up the beast whoopie Paul mentioned earlier. I use it in the latter part of this vid for blocking the stem down.

A picture is of the beast whoopie. I have a spare ring that can be put in the klenheist and then cinches down the bear ring into the other end of the whoopie for added bend radius.

Here's Rich rigging down a head with the invisible X-ring Beast Bastard Pulley setup I spliced for him.
