Chatting to the mechanic at the Dealer, he said the 160 has some of the 230 technology, the blades are the same but smaller, has easy access to the blades by just removing the cover plate, If I understood him correctly. Central greasing points.

The chassis does look a bit odd as it has a single bar tow arm, it looks long but you will need the length for reversing. It weighs about 620 kg. Feed chute is the same size as the 150.

As mentioned a bonnet and spare wheel would be great.

We have managed with a GTS 1300 4" gravity feed for two years so the 160 will probably suit or needs and process the waste at 3.5T / hr.

Has the double side blades, 3 bolts and your into the flywheel and blades.

Grease points are all in one place, my only complaint is it doesn't reverse well at all.

Nice and light to unhitch and move around just really whippy on the truck

Yeah that sounds like the yellow entec one. I'm used to a jensen 530. Was trying to back the entec down a drive recently and was a nightmare. Really twitchy

Yeah same question for the masses as the OP.

Also I was a between the 160 and the greenmech 130 (with a covered engine and wider infeed)

Following this be good to hear from someone who uses the 160 or 130 regularly 👍

Do you know if there is a lot of difference in retail price between the two? I imagine the greenmech to be quite a bit more?...

The gm 130 is about 1k cheaper and is a supprisingly good little machine and has a bonnet to keep the cap off the engine.

Can speak from experience with TW125 , 150 & 190 they all have the problems mainly flywheel bearings, when I cornered Richard Marshal ( TW MD ) at a show & asked him why TW have no flywheel grease points his words were, " Part of our income is from spare parts we have no intention of fitting grease nipples to the fly wheel bearings " Realising his mistake I beleive the latest chippers have now got grease points.

You should really take a look at Greenmech, they have really put a lot of thought into the latest chippers, not sure how the latest TW machines are built or how they perform.

How can " the blades be the same " but " smaller " this makes them different in my book of logic.
