It's a good clear video. I am just not overly enamored with the device.

😂 I like honesty. If we all liked the same stuff it wouldn't be much fun. Arbtalk probably wouldn't exist haha

Really helpful thread as i'm looking into getting either a grcs or a arbpro ld2.

I prefer the look of the grcs due to less faff with ratchet straps and a tried and tested device. However as stated in the very informative video the arbpro is ce marked.

How does everyone get on with LOLER and there grcs.

Cheers Jim

Hi Jim

Don't know about the arb pro but we use the grcs for all our really big stuff, especially when needing lifting ability during rigging, the rest of the time we use a fixed stein bollard rc2001 as it is small, compact, easy to use and a lot lighter than the grcs, whilst still able to do big stuff in a very controlled manner

Grcs goes through loler fine

Hi PC,

That's really helpful and exactly what i'd be using mine for.

It's come to the point to upgrade all my rigging gear and the grcs will be really helpful for the jobs booked in over the next 3 months.

Cheers Jim

Portawrap for the odd branch and holding tension on a speed line, Stein 3001 for lots of smaller stuff or big stuff or if needed the GRCS. Between the 3 they cover everything we ever come across.

mini portawrap for rigging small branches or control lines when in the mewp. Use this alot

also have two homemade large portawraps made 13 years ago for rigging from ground.Only use these now for speedlines  and to attach pulling lines to the truck when necessary

10 years ago made my own version of the GRCS with a harken 46 two speed self tailing winch  and a bollard that can be slid in to the carrier.Hardly ever use the winch anymore as the bollard handles most now days and has better friction control than the winch

No Loler here in OZ by the way . The rope is always the weakest link in all the stuff I've ever made too
