do you mean where were based? - near Uttoxeter, Staffs

 

pics where taken in Scotland - working near Aviemore in October - December last year - had to pull out early as the weather changed. - freezing the drums solid down to minus 10 and spending 2 hours lighting fires under the brakes to free them off - then when the snow thawed after a few hours, wading in 2 foot of water when you step out of the cab.! - oooh what a lovely job that was!

i would love a shot of that, i used to fell for a skyline, they must of hated me because my stuff was like a birds nest, but i used to love watching the logs head off down the hillside

only system that i saw that worked, was low leading long pole over the top of a digger into piles for the harvester to process. no need to back tie, and only needed bottom tree or large stump to attach strop and pulley to.
