what do you wear when pricing a job?

If on way home then obviously in work gear. If on a weekend just casual stuff. If I go in the car I tend to park round the corner (we have a half decent car, wife has a good job) as I don't want them to think that's where their hard earned cash goes, on funding a nice car!

We had a builder come round to quote for some work recently actually... He came in a suit and drove off in a 16 plate Audi A6. Put me right off. Quote came out at 40,000!!! Me and my brother are going to do the work now and costed it to around 12,000-14,000! That includes my brothers day rate!

That's part of this country's problem. People don't like it when people are doing well for themselves!

Quite regularly quote in my 66 plate Sportage... Haven't had any comments yet and the success rate hasn't dropped.

 

A Kia should be fine, as would most 4x4's its all about the right image IMO. You don't want to look too well off, but you don't want to look like your struggling to make ends meet either..
