ifor williams tipping trailer fault

Having just purchased the model TT85G at a farm sale at the weekend i was trying out the electric tipping set up.

But by pressing the button there are just a few clicking sounds coming from just behind the switch,the hand pump works fine but having the electric working would be a bonus

Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience of these trailers

Sounds like the solonoid contacts are goosed, the solonoid operates but the electrical contacts inside dont

sorry if this is obvious but does it have a good battery on it?

like dean says, solenoids are probably shot, u could try taking the cover off and making sure all connections are clean and tight and that power supply to them is strong

Could be a flat battery, pump it up manually and put the jump leads on.

Could be a flat battery. Enough juice to operate the solenoid but not enough to get the motor frisky. Put it on charge for an hour or so and try again.

There was a battey fitted but i removed it and tryed the battery off my pickup which is only a month old

Sounds like the solenoid then.

maybe the tipper does recharge the battery some dont, u have to recharge and put back on
