I'm a bit further north and the feeling here is somewhat different ! I feel both Brexit and Trump highlight how racist and selfish people actually are. We invented the jumbo jet to make the world a smaller place yet we are now building walls.

 

The EU has done fantastic things for the UK and brought much needed cash into many deprived areas where U.K. Industry no longer exists. Brexit was sold as a lie and will not improve quality of life for the vast amount of people in the U.K. Those who stand to profit are the elites!

 

Whilst the EU has brought in constraints I believe the benefits to being part of that union outweigh those of just being in the United Kingdom.

 

I have always considered myself to be Scottish and European and do hope we get the opportunity to remain in the EU with our without Westminster.

I think that if there is another Scottish vote the whole of the UK should get a vote as it affects us too!

It's a really good question!

 

The SNP don't like the UK wide Brexit outcome because Scotland as a whole voted remain.

 

But what precedent does that set?

 

What happens when Edinburgh or the Islands, as constituent parts of Scotland, don't accept a possible Scotland wide separation outcome from ANOTHER indyref?

 

Just following Crankie's logic, they'd be entitled to separate from Scotland no?

United Kingdom is a group of countries not one... so by that logic the rest of the EU should have had the vote on U.K. Leaving EU!

If they do have another referendum on independence, then we couldn't argue against it, not least on the grounds we're better off together...

 

What I would suggest though is they have one on the day Britain leaves the EU officially..

 

Now that would be just great. The Queen, who gave a nod to the Brexiteers, can see her Kingdom gutted on the day her dreams come true.....
