Handy thred as now running two tractors my little 450ltr tank is looking rather small!

Company I use also happy to put into drums so get 600 at a time to tip into next price bracket if I got over 1000 it'd be a little cheaper again so might get something a bit bigger soon

Part of choice for the tank too. Over 500l knocked 12p off.

All you need to know about a storage regulations.

IBC containers are fine if of a certain standard.

Ibc containers are fine, when they meet the standard, but must be bunded.

Drums are fine too, but must also have a secondary containment in place with a capacity of at least a quarter of all the oil that could be stored.

The above goes for any container of 201l or more, so a series of 200l drums may be exempt (?)

  • 3 weeks later...

Just to update, was speaking to a mate and he said he had a black ibc tank with no cage, and a small trailer.

I had an IBC cage here, so with the addition of a tap off ebay I built a small bowser out of it.

Obviously it doesn't meet the regulations as it's not in a bund.

The driver was fine with pumping 500l of red diesel into it :thumbup1::thumbup1:
