You save a load of branches, Lay them out where you are going to be throwing the logs, The logs then land on the branches, They act as a cushion so's not to make any marks on grass lawns or driveways

 

 

It works suprisingly VERY well

Brash mat is ok, but when your choggin you want the chippign to be done and finished with. Often we make a "corral" out of logs and drop the discs into that. Keep them cleared as you drop and no worries!

i use an old gym matt ,blue one ,its just the job,real tuff and soakes up all the bounce

whats this corral? big brash matt's are good because you don;t have to be too accurate, like onte beach i was doing today i couldn't lift the chunks and was just sliding them off, no fancy throwing. I would have rigged it if it were up to me as it started off a good 40ft high, all 660 size:thumbdown:

Take a hesston bale in the trailer.

 

Fell the tree onto the bale.

 

Use the straw to fire the tops.

 

Take the trunk away in the trailer.

Hi we fill a 1 ton builders bag with brash and drop the logs on to it:001_smile:
