Not being funny here, but what tree in the U.K. Is going to require a assisted launcher? Apta, tip sniper or what ever you want to use. There's no mountain ash or grey gums here.

Depends where your located and what your doing so if your climbing 80ft + trees to say dead wood lots spending 20 -30 mins trying to get a line in a tree is wasting time. I can throw pretty spot on till about 70ft then I start going off.

Spent 40 mins trying to get a 50 m rope in a tree a few months back and with both ends on the ground it was still only giving me access to two thirds its height... being eaten by midges at the same time didn't help.
