Cheers mate, i did change the angle on the blade and i added some extra bits of angle iron to the blade (which you can see in the last pic) which seemed to help splitting!

Well all the steel on it is either 8 or 10 mm thick so i'm hoping it'll last awhile, unlike the paint job!

very nice piece of kit mate. i'm impressed.

 

i just missed out on a trailer mounted home made one (hydraulic running off a power pack) on ebay. but a friend of mine has suggested we build our own one.

 

he knows how, so i said ok...

 

looks like you're going to have lots of fun with your new toy! :thumbup:

never seen anything as shiny and new as that before.. heres one i was using recently, its getting a ram upgrade very soon to a 6inch ram, old fordson major is already struggling a bit with it so that might need a replacement pump or something.. ah yes and the sliding plate at the bottom needs a lip to save knees
