Oh yeah man ! We used to cover a sand bag in chain oil and 2stroke to get the fire going LOL

 

int woods we had an old metal bucket for getting hot cinders out of the last fire for the next 1,:001_tongue:

we used to take it in turn to provide butter and cheese ect for the spuds

spuds we had a sack full and lots of tin foil and metal boxes

 

even had em for breakfast

Heehee, Peter Bridgemans 'Tree Surgery'. It was the bible - guy doing a huge flush cut on the cover..

 

And while I remember, back in the old daze, if you were a trainee climber, your job was to climb up after the main climber and paint all the wounds with Arbrol

 

Yeah big flush cut . My favorite picture in that book is of a curly haired guy removing a branch. While groundie is lowering it next to a main Rd with one road sign . Climber is wearing jeans no PPE . Can you picture it:lol:

Is that Staplespun rope . Groundie calls it Hairy rope . Good cheap rope which we use .:thumbup: Oh bonus it floats .

Anyone remember the 'Prussic' clip, one of the most dangerous climbing accessories ever made.

 

I spoke to a guy a while back who mentioned this, i couldnt quite get my head around what it was. Can any of you guys explain better than he did?
