Or fell the first few and use the space as your burn site- so you don't need to faff about with turfs. And tracked barrow or muck truck for getting timber out- quids in.

In my experience, if customers are dubious about fires, they soon change their minds when they see the price difference!

And the fence go's up as well.

I'd leave it till the summer to save ruining the grass, Iv got a couple of elete major shreggers that I'd use to shred every thing on site then use hire one of them small dumpers to cart every thing out

thanks for the ideas folks, burning isn't an option, this is a very posh area and the police would be called immediately. I was thinking of hiring a quad and fabricating up a log dolly, the ground is a more consistent gradient at the other side of the garden so hauling them up there in one or two pieces and snedding them on the drive, next to the chipper. The property is vacant and will be for about eight or nine months, I can remove part of the fence if need be, and repair any damage to the grass before the new owners move in. The job isn't to be done for a while so another option is to get the L200 finished and fit a winch to the front of it and do it that way, that's if the L200's ready. What size of vehicle mounted winch do any of you guys have?
