Bartletts didn't go for my felling mirror Al, the rest is history....

Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Oh wait, it was a chipping mirror that you posted a photo of. My mistake.

You said it was £600 as it was Pfanner which I considered to be a bargain so I got one.

Unfortunately it got smashed when I felled a tree onto it.

Presumably cos I didn't have the felling mirror!

😜😂

Hi Mr Haines, I maybe able to offer you some experience if your willing to commute to stourbridge and realise you have a lot to learn and your pay would reflect that.. What sort of money are you expecting a day? Im a small but well established company with various tree work so get a range of experience.

WOW, these training orginisations must be going to hogwarts now, they manage to compress years of skill and training into 10 weeks, churn out bodies and tell them they are tree surgeons, and that they deserve a top paying job........................no wonder the industry is fubar'ed

Don't be an asshat, the guy is aware of his inexperience, he is searching for work in order to gain it.

Everything is quicker nowadays. If you go in hospital for surgery they send you home same day when they used to keep you in all week. Microwaves cook your food in seconds instead of minutes and hours. I've enlisted for a 3 week brain surgery/rocket science course at the local education centre. You get a certificate but you have to supply your own tools. OP has not replied to the thread so he must have got a job and be too busy. Good luck with the search and stop with the negative vibes Moriarty.

As it happens, I agree.. 3 months intensive (12 months squashed down) is not enough time. As you know however you take your driving lessons to pass and then comes the learning of how it really works. 3 years on if anyone’s listening I have worked for various companies, all have failed to really understand my position. I never stated I’m experienced enough to be a first climber and have always voiced my desire for guidance and progression, yet I have only ever been met with the harsh reality that there is no time for learning. No time for the next generation nor the understanding of my vision to become an independent skilled craftsman in the world of Trees. Admittedly this affected my overall ethic towards the progression of my career. I have previously and up until now admitted defeat, accepting that this is how the world sometimes works, yet still subliminally believing one day I will achieve my goals and fulfill my arb destiny. I didn’t reply because I was overwhelmed at the response and am great full but the timing was not right. So to conclude I leave you with this, I am now 24, I am looking to relocate to work within a team who truly understand my vision and accept me for who and what I am. Wages mean little to me if the right proposal arises as long as I can cover my living expenses and pocket the odd bluey along the way.  For you the man who mocks the course yes fair enough feel disrespected at the audacity of an intensive course, but don’t blame me, don’t blame anyone I fact just be positive, because we need more positivity in he world. Peace and everlasting love x
