Chapter 8 HiViz decals?

Sorry, I'm way behind the curve with this but, a good customer informs me that, as of April next year, all vehicles involved in working on, or parked/stopped on the highway while the occupants work close to the highway must have full beacons and appropriate chevron HiViz on the rear of their truck and a HiViz stripe down the side waistline! Anyone got concrete evidence or recommendations?

Don't know, as it stands you need less in the way of signs and cones if you have the vehicle set up like that, it wouldn't surprise me if it became compulsory.

Are you telling me that the truck I saw with 'Hihgway Maintanance' written on the top of the tailgate was wrong?

They looked like professionals. They must have been, they were wearing loads of hi-vis.

They seemed to offer lots of other services as well as tree work, so their skill set must have been truly impressive.
