Only seen workshop ones like this Jet AFS-500 Air Filtration System - Air Filters - Dust Extractors - Machinery | Axminster Tools & Machinery.

Might be OK if you could hide it away somewhere.

Just looked at domestic ones and you pay a hefty premium for a bit of beautifying

Anyone have any thoughts on air purifiers that would help with the dust that comes with burning wood?

Not something I've ever considered but it is annoying how everything gets covered in dust no matter how hard you try to keep it in the stove.

How about a bit of DIY, a small extractor fan (screwfix 7414H) in a box lined with washable foam maybe with a slight vortex, as vortices consume power, and finally vented via HEPA filters from something like a Dyson vacuum cleaner?

It may be necessary to use a centrifugal fan if the back pressure is too high for an axial one.

Have a look at these bad boys: The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool? Link purifier ? Overview

Obviously there is a cost attached, I felt it was worth every penny so got 2 but there are specific reasons for that. Anyhoo, there's some good info about indoor air pollution on the webpage which is worth a browse.

I like it but a bit expensive, how often do you need to change the filters?

Ian you could cut up an (new packaged) NBC suit to provide the activated carbon filter :001_smile:
