Regards Stubbys investment there’s no loss of potential earnings until he sells and seeing as he’s still in the black and has all his original capital intact none of that has happened. Your condolences because the stock market can go down as well as up are rather ridiculous quite frankly.

This to me ? If so nope . You have the option of buying and selling yourself or leave it to them . As I don't know A from a bulls arse about buying and selling I leave it to them . There is a monthly fee of about £7 odd for running it and occasionally if they by or sell something I get a bill fir £12 or £15 .  But as I said I was somewhat stunned to make 2K in a year but that's gone now . I understand its a long term thing and could well recover . I am not panicking . I will just leave it and let it do whatever . I don't need that dosh right now . I just thought it was worth pointing out . That's all .

Been doing ISAs since I was 27 years or PEPs as they were then, they are a foundation of any personal investment and should work side by side with a pension scheme. The pension gives you an initial tax free investment, and ISA gives you tax free gains at the end.

You should be looking at doubling your money every 5-7 years but as I said, invest your dividends giving you compound growth and keep paying in as you can afford.

Sounds like Trumpy has rolled off the tariffs to 10% so tomorrow should be interesting 👍

What do you want 1% guaranteed annual interest or the possibility of 10%, 20% gains up and down overnight. It is a rollercoaster and is a bit of a laugh😬
