I don't have an issue with Space X doing it, it seems like they're best placed to do the job at the minute, but giving Elon credit for being such a nice fellow is a bit misguided.

If the lovely Elon had stuck to his businesses as opposed to trying to gain an increasing foothold in international politics and influencing world events to his own benefit I don't think many would have such issues with what he does.

He showed what a bellend he was at the time of the kids trapped in a cave, but at that point nobody was particularly worried about his influence, things are a bit different now.

You know they left them there because of the election don't you, as Elon is the only solution and they didn't want the free publicity for the other guy.

Maybe spend a bit more with Amazon and Jeff can send his Dr evil shaped rocket instead?.

I don't use Twatter, space x, Tesla or Star link, so it's of no financial relevance to me. Ok I use PayPal but he cashed out ages ago.

That cave rescue bellendery was the first time that he started to show his true colours, (or lack of), I think. The poor guy is probably still suffering from the legacy of that ridiculous, unfounded, defamatory remark by Musk. Made when he threw his toys out of the pram because he wasn't allowed show off with his new toy. I know who I'd want to be rescued by; I'd choose actual real people with years worth of cave rescue experience, any day of the week, and twice on a Sunday!

What would you have suggested  ??
Leave them there because you don’t like Musk 🤷‍♂️

It’s getting harder day by day to go along with the assumption that some on here are actually grown men.

Absolute verbal diarrhoea such as writing sentences containing phrases like “ Bigly Growly Much” is definitely not helping

Others were left there: is a permanently manned space station. It wasn't a life or death rescue of stranded astronauts, which is what Team Bellend is dressing it up to be.

ahh, yes, Elon Musk and his spaceship. All done for free and altruistic reasons?... err no... all done as a normal part of their business.. and for financial reward... and you want us to stand up and say Thank You for doing your job? Compare that to the recent discussions about The Potus Trump, where frankly, he isn't doing his job well and is highlighted.

I think the queen said, recollections may vary.

Did anyone say it was free, NASA wasn't free and never had been free. But if it was so profitable Jeff would be doing it on prime wouldn't he, that's simple economics 101.

None really just I find it quite pathetic that supposedly grown men are whining like bitches and posting every tenuous bs link they can find about the current democratically elected president of the USA, whilst at the same time some are chugging around the countryside of a country with more than its own fair share of issues in a wanked out Passat estate, hoping to see people taxed to oblivion for wanting to drive a half decent work vehicle. That’s all really SP, regards yourself there’s something not right about an individual who won’t even say what they do for a living “ if anything “.

Unlike some others who only post every tenuous link they can find that stirs up racial hatred or criticizes Keir Starmer and the Labour Government eh?

Or who whine like bitches because other people don't bother to fill out a hidden employment status box on a public forum.

Ther's something not right about... oh god the choices!

Nothing wrong with a Passat estate: it's about the only thing that is a suitable replacement for the old Volvo estates: fishing, fosslin, camping, bung everything in the back and go.

Old Merc estates give the Volvo's a run for their money. My beat up old W124 was just grand until I got a van. Probably more load space than the bloated modern pickups and far more than all the crappy SUVs.

Looking back Gareth, the quote is "Funny how you lot are quiet about the recent space rescue."... and the among th reasons no one thought to mention it is that they were just doing their job, and it wasn't powered by Trump. Though NASA is a government agency, its day to day running is not in his remit and commercial decisions are their call.

Anyway, Thanks Wrightbus, they got me to work, and back yesterday. Just thought while we are name checking things that did their job I'd thank my transport yesterday.

Without checking the dates, I think that was before the election I mentioned it, hence the very long delay.

And no I'm not thanking shell for today's fuel, or was it BP trying to get me to cycle to work and then not use 2 stroke.
