Good reasoning!

It's fine to occasionally hit my wife, in sub-saharan Africa people beat their wife's to death and that's not frowned upon...

Your reasoning suggests that it's not OK to complain about any injustice unless you first complain about worst injustices done to others elsewhere?

I just copied it. But I agree with it. The hypocrisy.

Seems to me that the electorate has a short memory for recent modern history.

The "right wing populist politics'' were the politics of the first half of the 20th century. Look where that got us (two world wars) !!!

The politics of nationalism and a culture of blaming everyone else (bar ourselves) for our own economic woe's has been seen before and always leads to conflict of one sort or another. A lurch to the right in France, Holland, USA and to a degree here in the UK is bad news for everyone.

Just for the record I'm not some sort of bleeding heart liberal.

Tbh, I think we all agree that Trump as an individual is an ar4ehole. However he's a million times better than "traditional" politicians.

Traditional politicians allowed the mass migration of third world migrants into Europe. I don't think native Europeans want these migrants in Europe. After each terrorist attack in Europe more people will vote for the right wing parties.

whenever I hear of a terrorist attack in Europe I blame the traditional politicians that allowed a violent culture into europe....

Debating with you is an exercise in futility. We are diametrically opposite, politically speaking and I relate to none of your views.

To embellish my early post a little, it horrifies me to see this atrocious excuse for a human being take the most powerful office on Earth. I cannot think of a western leader in the past 40 years as truly unpleasant as Trump. With more than a smidge of Schadenfruede I look forward to the next four years as he and his administration defecate on the uneducated white demographic that provided the core of the vote that got him (somehow, despite him getting nearly 3,000,000 fewer votes than Clinton) elected.

Make no mistake, the only thing that Trump represents is himself. He cares only for himself. He serves only himself. This will become painfully apparent in the coming weeks, months and years.

So...it's been a week. TPP axed. Muslim ban a-gogo. "Negotiations" with Mexico underway. Abortion Industry hammered. Sanctuary Cities capitulating...climate change off the menue...Obamacare on the way out. All in one week.

Enjoying your Schadenfreude?

Hmmm you seem to be celebrating that climate change or basic healthcare are not important.

If you are asking whether turning the political, social and scientific clock back 50 years, then no. The ramifications of these actively backwards policies remains to be seen. I would love to be a fly on the walls of the working class Republican voting households when the penny drops and they realise that as a consequence of the policies of the administration they voted for, they are much, much worse off.
