http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members-only/10634-sorting-out-little-diy-problem.html dare i say anymore? It not worth it mate, get a pro in.

When you say "they dont seem interested" do you just mean you dont want to pay the amount they have quoted. I know tree work is quiet around here and companys wouldnt be turning away work.

Didn't actually get any prices. I put the details into a Tree Surgeons website and didn't get a single response.

After reading the replies here, looking at the links and videos, and getting some very good advice by PM, I think the tree will live to fight another day.

Skint ? Tight ? Same thing isn't it ?

Hat, check out the DIY thread in Members Only forum.

You would get someone to drop that SAFELY, and leave it for you to clear up, for about £100 I reckon.

You can't put a price on your bones, bro.

Hmm, I wonder, somethings not right here.

I was agreeing with Rowan.

I get it every day. "They drop leaves all the time" Drives me mad. It's a euc, that's what they do.

At the moment here it's Jackaranda's dropping flowers all over the place, so the tree has to go.

if you must do it, be careful, your probaly better off climbing it properly rather than using a ladder imo. Or better still get some pro's in and have it done properly it will be much easier and you wont have to drive tot he tip 30 times iny our car to get rid of it!

OK, the leaves aren't the problem, just an annoyance, it's the size of the thing and the branches over the neighbours garden that concern me.

Anyone want to swap some free labour for a days work in Harwich ?
