  1. Past hour
  2. I have had mixed results with ex army coats. Had one that was mint for a couple of years, subsequent ones were all shite.
  3. I must have missed some news?
  4. Echo 310 , cheap and cheerful, basic, you could learn on it and with a 14" bar you could fell 28" diameter trees and 400 left over . Depends what you want to do with it and what you intend doing with it . Move on to a better saw after you've learned . I expect to be laughed , but hey, I started with a stihl 017
  5. How dare you trivialise the nation's grief. Consider arbtalk cancelled.
  6. Today
  7. I can still remember mum coming into my bedroom to tell me about Lady Di. She honestly made a bigger thing of it than when granny died.
  8. Raising a glass to the people’s princess tonight. Raise one with me or you’re a big meanie.
  9. Yeah, you’re right, you weren’t being that word, lazy posting on my part.
  10. Smashing sketch. I didn't think I was being facaetious btw. I was serious. There's an above average chance of somesuch silly shit occurring.
  11. Ex Army Gortex. Swazi wearer's are poofs.
  12. Ahh, that makes sense. Still think the game should have been played mind.
  13. There was not a replacement medical team avaliable to take over aparently . Can't run the match with no medics .
  14. You’re being facetious I know. However this modern fashion for marking and mourning and lamenting every single thing is ridiculous. It started with the death of Lady Di, since then the stiff upper lip has crumbled.
  15. If you don't like that, I suspect you won't like the next game where the players kneel or throw black power salutes for him.
  16. I've had the fuel filter off and checked the fuel line. All looks good. Makes no difference to running issue with a full tank or half a tank. I started it up today and ran it for a few minutes to take an inch of the christmas tree trunk and remove a few lower branches and no problem. Trouble is i'll start it next time and it will probably stall at idle.
  17. No purge bulb on my saw. Thanks for the heads up on the check valve, I will rake a look.
  18. Saw that. I cannot understand why they didn’t play the game tbh. 25 thousand people or so made the effort to get there, plus players and officials. Someone died in the stands, people die all the time. What purpose does abandoning the match serve?
  19. Sadely the game was abandoned after 8 mins of play as a Charlton fan suffered a heart attack . He was treated at the sceine by para medics but susiquently died in hospital . Very sad .
  20. Stubby

    First Chainsaw

    I wait with interest 🙂
  21. Mind you she was looking quite proud of herself as she wore the Silver medal my youngest son won today at a BJJ competition in Oslo. 😜
  22. Will shortly be looking to get my first chainsaw, and am looking for some advice/suggestions. What’s gonna be the best bang for my buck at around £600, don’t have much experience with maintenance so not sure if used is a good idea
  23. Hi Archie Really appreciate the message, unfortunately I’m based near Canterbury so would be a bit far for me. many thanks Kasper
  24. Ultimate cactus behaviour " can you do it this week?"
  25. A second coat is never a bad thing, me thinks a Swazi may need to be ordered.
  26. I haven't got a proper hang of these check valves but the main jet venturi is only under higher pressure than the diaphragm chamber when the throttle is shut and the downstream idle outlet is subject to full manifold depression. I still wonder if blocking this would overcome the problem at the expense of idling?? I still have a strimmer with the problem of air getting into the chamber via a leaky check valve to fix, along with a heap of other engines that need attention. Will probably have to wait till spring.
