  1. Past hour
  2. OK you keep worrying 👍👍let’s hope the UKs 1% can somehow make a difference if we bankrupt ourselves in the process of chasing the net zero holy grail. Get yourself to Beijing and get those Chinese told. In the meantime I’m gonna continue my search for a good low mileage manual VXR8.
  3. Nah, it's definitely climate change buddy boy. 👍 Oh, and the plastic thing. Oh, and the biodiversity collapse. Oh, and all those transsexuals making hetero relationships illegal. The next pandemic has to get in line after that crowd.
  4. Tell it to the Chinese or the Indians 👍. Anyway I thought it was the next pandemic that was gonna do for us all.
  5. You’ll find out that the course gives you enough knowledge to START learning how to be a climber, you’ll be a long long way from being able to charge money to the public or other businesses for your services. No offence intended, I am sure that given time practice/instruction/application you can go on to a long career in the job, but you’ll be better off leaving the course and working with others first.
  6. Jaysis, I really don't understand the obsession you people have with putting us on the fast track to extinction. I know you're allergic to science and data and having things patiently explained to you since the 1980s, but it really is beyond belief sometimes.
  7. If I’d had the chance I should have put a bet on it would be SP first to reply. 😂 Quick question are you employed, self employed or a business owner 🤷‍♂️
  8. Today
  9. Brexit. We've stopped all them dirty foreign tree deseases coming over the channel now.
  10. i find the problem with all of these new fangeld chains is that they are all ok till you first file them . unless you spend out on there new file and re learn how to file a chain . or have them re ground by someone in the know.
  11. You still waiting to do your climbing course?
  12. Not right away of-course Got a mate whos into climbing, issue is hes tuther side of the pennines.....
  13. Depends on what you consider wrong. It’s just capitalism and a free market economy.
  14. I hear what you are saying.. But being in the country with few near neighbours that have no box and a large number of wrens in and out of the box already planted I think I’ve got a fair chance with em if they take. Also the other half wants them so in they go😀. NoPedigree
  15. The dumb thing would be starting up on your own.
  16. The tree in my south facing front garden is getting g sadder by the year. I thought at first that it had got too big for its own good and had a gardener cut it back last year. However it’s no better, probably worst. The shrub around its base is thriving, getting bigger and bushier by the month. Is this the problem and what is the solution to getting a healthy leafy tree. thanks.
  17. I wouldn’t bother with Box at all now. I’d plant something caterpillar proof instead.
  18. Reckon I'd be trimming at least half of the foliage off for starters, to reduce the demand on the compromised roots for water. Edit. Just realised that I misread the question and am thinking of Privet. That's as tough as normally. I think Box is similar but I've not much experience with it so going out on a limb here. Interested to see other opinions. Don't take the first answer!
  19. Don't know what on earth you're complaining about. Some blokes are on a "sweet 20k a month gig" - it's all gravy here in World Beating Great Britain.
  20. Interesting and telling development.
  21. Farage is a joke, always has been, never knows if he wants a shit or a haircut, vile little man. Looks suspiciously like he knew the thrower of milkshake and used it to gain publicity, but he won't lift a finger to help if she gets fined I bet!
  22. i think we need to remember a very useful little word and use it more: "no". can i have your email for the paperless receipt? no. do you want to pay 10p for a paper bag for that single tshirt? no. we want you to pay us £500 for your road tax. no.
  23. Hi all. I have got a lot of box bushes a friend is removing from their garden, I know it’s not the best time of year to transplant it but it’s worth a try instead of composting it. I’m lifting a car load and replanting it as soon as possible and obviously watering it in well, they have as bigger root ball as possible. they were not trimmed last year by the looks and have a fair amount fo soft new growth. Should I run the hedge trimmers over them on the next dull day? Trim them hard or lightly if at all? any advice gratefully received. cheers, NoPedigree.
