"Neighbour" has deliberately planted a Salix Caprea next to our property.

Nah. Poisoning it is petty smallthink and then he'll just come up with some other way to bully you. You have the might of institutions that can imprison him available to you for £150 risk (and it's a low risk). Use that. You'll stay in the right and he'll learn a lesson. -

"Get your encroaching roots and branches off my land or I'll have them cut back and bill you for it." Then do it. Pay someone £100 to snip the branches off at the fenceline and dig straight down and sever the roots. Couple of recorded letters. £35 small claim issue fee. Everyone gansta until the letter from Northampton. -
Hi All, We have had issues with a "neighbour" who will do things to spite us quite often, I won't go in to any detail here as it's not the place, the reason I mention this is there is absolutely no way we can mediate with them over this situation and the last time we tried to talk about deliberate damage caused to our property I had to contact the Police. I use the word neighbour in quotes as they are not technically neighbours as it is a different street, their property backs on to the side of our house. The latest event is quite concerning to us both as we are keen gardeners and are fairly knowledgeable about plants and trees. They have recently planted what we believe to be a Salix Caprea about 2 or 3ft from the side of our property and against the fence, this is also directly next to the sewerage/drainage pipe that runs from their property to the manhole immediately next to the fence on our side. We have serious concerns about damage to our property, foundations and drainage systems. We do not know how to resolve this issue or who we can contact so any advice would be gratefully appreciated. I will mention our land is all clay soil as this may be applicable. Many thanks

No ticket proof needed but they may require some ID or trade reference the first time. Some hirers may need proof that you have adequate insurance like "hired in plant"..... If it is only a couple of days or the odd weekend, go local.... Where are you based?
-
It knackered, arbrex is an out of date practise, if the trees no where property, leave as is ... Start planting a younger crop in front of the mature trees to take over if they fail.
