What the most unusual thing you have found in a tree
spuddog0507 replied to Henry218's topic in Climbers talk
I have a midland hammer gun not damascus barrels though, got it handed to me when the shotgun certificates changed, made in 1876 for a butcher in Fleetwood and was 1 of a pair he had but not numbered, i am only the third owner of it and the butchers grandson i still see now and then and is all ways telling me about his grandad shooting grouse, hares, rabbits and pheasants to sell in his butchers shop, -
Hi I'm James and I'm looking for free logs if anyone in my area has anything they can drop on my drive? I have already created it as a tip site. So please get in touch, I'm in Berkeley Gloucestershire

Looks to have been freshly cut, revealing the inner brown. They are only green where they recieve adequate sunlight and the brown leaf has died off. Leylandii is quite slow to recover but will eventually go green, if it doesnt die off. Its not an ideal hedge tree.

When the grunts came back from the Vietnam war they would fill them full of antibiotics before they went home. I don't care how much money someone thinks they have, They ain't infecting my bitches.
-
HR is the easy bit - if you're catering to ultra high net worth individuals I suggest searching for a head of infection control, maybe quarantine the escorts for two months between each assignment
-
I thought the future would be flying cars. Instead it's fat, rich, shitgibbons, having a cock waggling contest. I'm starting an escort agency. It's called "Dream Snake International" Gislaine Maxwell is head of HR.
-
a Neuralink implant would cure that - read the person is about to shoot and disable the motor functions
-
I get your point and I too would be pissed off if someone brought my family into things... But you're clearly wound up about way more than that. Maybe wind your neck in a wee bit before someone has to turn you in for being a nutjob who shouldn't have access to guns. I wouldn't do that, but there are people out there who would.

I do agree to a good extent. You wouldn't expect a chain to do seven months without being sharpened. But manufacturers should be pushing to be more and more idiot proof, lest they rest on their laurels instead.

Good man, I respect him all the more for it. Wish him well from me.

Hi, I’m Looking for an ID on these. both located on beech trees. I'm was thinking Kretzschmaria, however I am unsure due to the texture being quite porous and it is pretty tough not brittle. I have also found the same black lumps lying in the woodland away from any trees and not connected to anything. cheers

Im sure that that most of them do but you know people and people can sometimes be reckless. You can purchase a brand new crab and gum it up to death on the first climb on a sticky grand fir. Or just leave it in the bottom of a wet kit bag for a month. Resilience while using the gear appropriately. On the corolla thing, yeah it might still work but tbh it might not be performing as it should, if you didnt change the oil or at least top it up then I reckon it would soon be toast. If it isnt toast then its lifespan will have gone down hill fairly fast, faster than a fat man rolling down a rally fat hill, really, really very fast. Change the oil on your Corolla mate.

Then Sober, worse for wear, your words not mine 🤔 Back on it now 42 Crawling out the woodwork full of drink hoping for a bite . I’m still ??? What 42, what I’m not is a man who throws garbage around that includes daughters and rape etc etc etc.
-
No Blagger. I was then sober. Whereas you are still........ You should take up drinking, it might, just might, make you a more convivial person.
-
If you bought a Toyota Corolla and didn't change the oil for fiteen years, it would probably still work. Climbing gear users shouldn't be taking the piss like that but climbing gear manufacturers should be building resiliency into their products.
-
Only if you maintain it properly.
-
I agree. Complain if it isn't. Gear should last.

Ok, cool thanks a lot. Biner is only 7 months old so should be still ok.

I'm now moving into engaging freelancers more than being one so that was clever of me.

You know what John you may have a point, when anonymous individuals are making cracks about people’s daughters and rape in the same post to try and gain a few points , especially having been pulled about bringing family in previously. What’s that all about. Anyone can say WTF they want about me personally, that’s the internet 🤷♂️but theres a line that includes kids and family at least in my opinion.
-
Ive never came across this scenario before but then Ive only ever worked for people that I have previously known. Although I have to pay tradesmen x amount up front before starting building work to part cover the cost of material etc. TBH I suppose it isnt a bad idea to at least charge a percentage as AHHHHP mentioned.

Pedsanesca (peds's puttanesca recipe) except I forgot to buy olives so I used a big mushroom I found growing under the tomato plant jungle in the polytunnel. Tinned tomatoes I'm afraid. Aforementioned tunnel ones aren't ripe yet. Photographed before adding a layer of cheese that would meet building regs. On peds, I spoke to the cheerful little hobbler the other day. He plays whist with the black bloke from the BBC televison programme interludes and has teamed up with a guy with bad arms to service their respective wives as one aggregate unit. He didn't wish anyone well but don't take it personally.

That’s fine Mesterh, indeed I don’t. You got something relevant to the “ such as “ reply then fine. Riddles 🤷♂️

I agree with that. You will probably struggle to get permission due to health and safety etc. No one is really going to grant permission to go and climb as they would get sued to death if something bad happened. I did a bit of rec climbing in the local woods while training in college, just make sure you have someone to spot you at the very least.
